Almost every college in the country offers a course of some sort of foreign training. Where to go, when and how much love, how much does it cost? The University of California, for example, and the University of Redlands have their own programs abroad, so the credits for any study taken abroad are returned to the home college. If your child uses an independent option, it is important that he or she meet with the instructor abroad at his school.

Whether it is dengue fever, an African sleeping sickness or a worrisome tummy, moving away from home is an inexorable experience. In particular, if your child is heading overseas, whether outside of North America or Western Europe, make sure he or she visits the doctor at least six weeks before the trip. Better yet, make it a doctor who specializes in travel medicine and can equip your child with the necessary vaccination and preventive measures in any area he heads.
